By neutralizing the carbon footprint in the atmosphere, our company becomes a “CO2 Neutral Company” in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, actively participating in reducing the global carbon footprint.
The certificates used for neutralization come from projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions approved by the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) and are also used in the European Trading Scheme (EU-ETS) for the compliance of major polluters. The projects from which the certificates come are CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) or JI (Joint Implementation) type for CER and ERU certificates, respectively.
The control of compliance with the procedures is carried out both by the “Audit” department of our company and by the external audit carried out on each sector/ division by national and international companies (KPMG, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Ernst&Young, Professional Consulting, Certrom, etc.).
We also receive periodic visits from representatives of large corporate clients for the presentation and control of the company’s procedures, as previous experience has proven to us that transparency, flexibility and the appreciation of partners in terms of the quality of the activity represent the engine of the company’s development.
We try to meet customers’ demands and show flexibility by customizing management depending on the change of market conditions, by measuring performance indicators, by drafting and periodically implementing preventive and corrective actions, accident and damage prevention policy and periodic training of employees, collaborators and subcontractors.
Environmental policy
Our environmental policy reflects our respect for the environment and is implemented according to SR EN ISO 14001:2005 through an environmental management system which by continuous improvement aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Identification of legal requirements and other requirements on the environment applicable to the activities carried out in the company and compliance with them;
- Improving the performance of installations in accordance with the financial opportunities of the company for the prevention of pollution;
- Proper management of waste in terms of collection, recovery and disposal operations;
- Minimizing energy and water consumption by efficient use of energy and resources;
- Improving the quality of emissions (water, air, soil, odor), the noise level by a cost-effective operational control, by careful monitoring and through the application of corrective and preventive actions, when necessary;
- Taking actions to preserve the ecosystems and preserve the biodiversity specific to the area;
- Selection of raw materials in order to avoid the use of toxic and dangerous substances, in case we cannot correctly assess the human, ecological and environmental risks associated with them;
- Promoting an open dialogue with the parties interested in environmental issues;
- Preventing the occurrence of major accidents and the quick and responsible application of intervention measures to correct incidents or conditions that endanger health, safety or the environment, quick reporting to the authorities and informing the affected parties;
- Obtaining and renewing environmental permits in accordance with the specific legislation in force.
Proof of the fact that we respect the environment and we comply with the legislation is the application of energy efficiency improvement measures and the performance of the Energy Audit.
